AUSTRIA JUICE GmbH
AUSTRIA JUICE today is a joint venture composed of the former AGRANA Juice Holding GmbH and Ybbstaler Fruit Austria GmbH (a subsidiary of RWA Raiffeisen Ware Austria AG) and was established on 1 June 2012.
The joint venture is based in Kröllendorf, Lower Austria, and has 14 plants in Austria, Denmark, Germany, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Ukraine and China. In addition to fruit juice concentrate, it also produces fruit purees and natural aromas, as well as direct juices for the drinks processing industry.
About the former AGRANA Juice Holding GmbH:
AGRANA Juice Holding GmbH (main facility: Gleisdorf), formerly Steirerobst AG, has been part of the AGRANA Group since 2003.
Founded 1958, Steirerobst enjoyed a long and successful track record in the industry and was the first operator of a fruit juice concentrate plant in Austria.
AGRANA Juice currently operates in ten fruit juice concentrate plants in Europe that are located in the most important growing areas for apples and berries.
In Poland, Hungary, Romania, Ukraine, Denmark and Austria, the Group also purchases and processes so-called red fruits (strawberries, raspberries, blackcurrant, redcurrant, sour cherries, chokeberries and elderberry) in addition to apple juice.
Besides fruit juice concentrates, direct juices and purees are also produced for the highly specialized West European fruit juice industry.
Due to their fast-growing levels of consumer demand for apple and berry juice concentrates (also of organic cultivation), especially the CEE countries represent important markets for sales.
