Education & Training
Annual staff appraisals are held as a means of being able to invest in the training and personal development that our employees and the market require. This meeting identifies an individual's requirements in terms of education and training, the outcomes being coordinated with the relevant line manager. AGRANA offers employees numerous internal personal development and professional training programmes.
In the course of international workshops, management prospects joining the company receive the opportunity to discuss the group's strategies directly with the Management Board and with the general managers of the operating companies.
The underlying focus of training for our personnel and future managers lies on basic management skills which all AGRANA managers should possess. It is for this reason that seminars are offered, particularly in the following areas:
- Leadership Communication
- Time Management
- Presentation Skills
- Project Management
- Business AdministrationÂ
In addition, personnel can also attend external seminars in the area of personal development and specialist training courses on an individual basis.
During the 2009|10 financial year, AGRANA invested group-wide a total of around € 2.3 million or 1.4% of total wages and salaries in external training and development.
Talent Development Programme
AGRANA attaches particular importance to the personal and professional development of all of its employees. In addition to general training and development opportunities, the company also offers a group-wide talent development programme. The aim of this programme is to encourage and develop selected high-potentials with above-average performance and key personnel with a high degree of mobility and flexibility in the direction of specific career targets.
